Kristin lives in Virginia and is the maker and designer behind Heart Lake Quilts. Her designs are deeply inspired by her connection to family heritage and tradition.

Her grandmother was the first quilter she knew - handstitching each quilt from start to finish. Kristin made her first quilt using her mother’s sewing machine when her daughter was just two years old.

She began designing her own quilt patterns in 2017, shortly after the birth of her first grandchild. Kristin’s designs feature a charming cottage-meets-modern aesthetic that blends traditional quilt elements like stars, pinwheels, and patchwork with fresh layouts and updated color palettes. Each pattern is crafted with clarity, quality, and care, featuring easy-to-follow instructions that help makers create cozy heirlooms to cherish and use for generations.

When she’s not quilting, Kristin enjoys traveling, hiking with her husband, reading, and spending quality time with her family. Her work has appeared in American Patchwork and Quilting magazine.
