Katie is the one-woman machine behind Modern Textiles, based in Alexandria, Minnesota. Quilting has been a creative constant in her life, and what started as a love for fabric and design has grown into a space where she helps others bring their quilts to life—one stitch at a time.

When she’s not at the longarm, Katie is designing modern quilt patterns and pantographs that blend bold graphics, clean lines, and a touch of mischief.

Her goal is to create designs that feel approachable, satisfying, and exciting to sew. She believes quilting should be fun, creative, and meaningful.
