Sewspicious

Vickeidy is the hands and heart behind Sewspicious.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic and now based in NYC, her quilting journey began in 2017 while she was refurbishing vintage sewing machines. It was during this time that she discovered the iconic Singer 221 Featherweight and learned of its cult-favorite status among quilters. One curious Google search of “quilting” later, and she was completely hooked. In 2018, Vickeidy made quilting her New Year’s resolution and hasn’t looked back since. By 2022, she transitioned into designing and writing her own quilt patterns.

Her work celebrates vibrant, bold colors and intricate designs, artfully blending traditional techniques with a fresh, modern perspective.
